Stampin Friends Hope Blog Hop

Hi Stampin Friends!

It's that time of month for Stampin Friends monthly blog hop. This month our Stampin' Friends will be creating projects based around "Hope".  If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Lynn Streifert's awesome blog.

You can click the "Previous" button above to travel to Lynn's blog and I have included a "Next" button at the bottom of my post to travel to Andrea Tracy - Tucker's cool blog.

This month we are excited to have three guest bloggers for our hop. So excited to have these ladies hopping with us and they have some super cool projects to share with you. Our guset are:

Are you ready?.....Be sure to read through the bottom of my post because we have an exciting contest. You have a chance to win a prize from each blog participant.....more details further down in my post.

Here is my  "Hope" themed card:

My favorites are "Clean and Simple"....all about simplicity. For my card, I used Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Words Stamp Set and the pretty paper from Stampin' Up!'s Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack. I have to say that that paper stack has really gorgeous prints!!! I'll have the list of all the supplies I used later in my post.

Here are the card dimensions in case you would like to make your own card:

Base layer: 4 1/4" x 11" Whisper White Card stock

1st layer: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" Sweet Sugar Plum Card stock

2nd layer: 3 3/4" x 5" Designer Series Paper

3rd layer: 3 1/8" x 4 1/4" Sweet Sugar Plum Card stock

4th layer: 3" x 4 1/8" Whisper White

(A quick note: Watercolor Words is a photopolymer stamp set-it's best to stamp on a piercing mat to get a crisp stamped image). Here is my project:

For my project, I altered a mini composition notebook and R.S.V.P. Pen. I carry a notebook similar like this in my purse. I like to keep readily available so that I can jot down inspirational quotes or scriptures that I read. I ofter refer to it when I need to find encouragement or to be uplifted from any circumstance.

For note notebook, there really is no meausrements. I just add Fast Fuse to the edges of the notebook (make sure to not add adhesive to the Black binding edge). I then carefully trim off the excess DSP. If you are careful, you can use 1 sheet of 6x6 DSP to cover both front and back of your notebook.

For the pen, I cut a piece of DSP at 3 3/8" x 1". Unscrew the bottom of the pen and remove the ink. Roll the DSP and insert into the pen. Place ink cartridge back into the pen and screw back the cap.

Both the mini composition books and pens can be found in your local office supply store.

Hope my projects encourgaed you and hope that you liked them. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I would greatly appreciate it.
