This month we have 3 awesome guest hoppers that you got to check out!!!
Now, let's get started. For this month I chose to stay with the "Get Well" theme. I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Birthday Blooms Stamp set and the Birthday Bouquet designer series paper. Ha! Ha! Yes, it is a birthday themed stamp set and paper series, but I thought that it was very versatile and voila!
My first project is the "Get Well" card. I love the color combination of the desinger series paper. It's so soft and subtle.
The Pool Party Glitter Ribbon really adds a nice touch to the card. For the image, I first stamped it on Whisper White card stock using Black Memento Ink. Then, I re-inked and stamped the image onto Blushing Bride card stock. The flowers are then hand cut and adhered to to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals to add a 3-D effect.
For my second project, I created a matching Mini Tissue Holder using Mint Macaron card stock and the same designer series paper from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.
To Make the Tissue Holder:
1. Cut a piece of card stock at 8" X 7 1/2".
2. With the 8" side laying on the top edge of your Scoreboard, score at 1/2", 1 3/4", 6 1/4" and 7 1/2"
3. Rotate and score at 2 1/4", 3 1/2", 5 3/4" and 7".
4. Leaving the paper in this position, cut up to second score line. Do the same to the other side. Remove the sections as pictured below. Note the diagonal cuts on the tabs as pictured.
5. Now you are ready to decorate your holder. You will need 2 pieces of 4 1/4" X 2" Designer Series Paper for the top and the bottom of your holder. 2 pieces of 4 1/4" X 1" Designer Series Paper for the sides and 2 pieces of 2" x 1" Designer Series Paper for the side tabs. Adhere the cut designer series paper to the cut card stock. For the kleenex opening I used the thinlit from the Rose Garden Thinlit set. Once I adhered the designer series paper to the card stock, I positioned the thinlit where I wanted it to be and ran it through the Big Shot.
6. Assemble your box and there you have it.
Hope you enjoyed my projects for the Hop.
