Simply Stamp It Color Challenge - Happy Girls Day!

Hi Stampers!

Today, we are playing along with Simply Stamp It's Color Challenge.

Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake & Blackberry Bliss

Today's card is just in time for Hina Matsuri or otherwise know as Happy Girl's Day! I was raised with my Japanese Grandparent whose parents migrated to Hawaii from Japan. As a child, we celebrated every March 3rd as Girl's Day. It was a celebration filled with delicious Japanese cuisine and a gift of a new Japanese Doll.

Today, I'm sharing with you a Happy Girl's Day card using Japanese Origami (Paper Folding) technique. Make sure you come back to visit me tomorrow and I will have the instructions on making the paper doll used in my card,

I wanted to create a oriental feel to the background. I decided to use Stampin' Up!'s  Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set to help create a Cherry Blossom look for my background. I stamped it using Versa NMark and embossing it with Gold embossing powder.

I didn't have a "Happy Girl's Day" stamp, so I just printed it on my computer and ran my crumb cake paper through the printer.

Here is the supply list you need to make this card.

Need supplies? Just head on over to my ONLINE STORE !

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to get directions on making your very own Origami Doll.

Painted Petals Thank You Cards

Hi Stampers!

Here is my grateful Monday share. I have really fallen in love with the Painted Petals Stamp Set. I have a weekend project of making 300 thank you cards for my office. For this project I chose to use this stamp set along with Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards & Envelopes. This simple two step technique was perfect for such a large project.

Here are more cards I made using some different colors:

Daffodil Delight

Rose Red

Blackberry Bliss

Pacific Point

Here's a quick video tutorial on how to create the cool water color effect:

Petite Petals Gate Fold Card SSIC #7

Hi Stampers!

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday afternoon!....Today's blog entry is my submission into Simply Stamp It's Facebook Card Challenge.  You can play along too! Simply ask to join in the Simply Stamp It Facebook group and upload your creation. It's for fun and great way to get your creative juices flowing!

This weeks challenge was to create a Gate Fold card. To make this Gate Fold Card take a piece of Pacific Point card stock and cut it at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Using your Simply Score board and Stylus Pen, score your card stock at 2 1/8" and at 6 3/8".

Take your Bone Folder, crease and fold on score lines.

Cut your Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper at 1 7/8" x 5 1/4"  and adhere with SNAIL adhesive.

Take a piece of Pacific card stock and cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".  Cut a piece of Whisper White and cut at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Using the Two step technique, stamp your first image with Pacific Blue Classic Ink (I gently stamped off first then stamped my image to the Whisper White card stock). Make sure when using photoploymer stamps, have a foam pad underneath your surface while stamping for a better image quality,

Then add your second image using Wild Wasabi Classic Ink. Stamp your greeting. Take Daffodil Delight Blendabilities and color the Basic Jewel Rhinestones (Blendabilities is an alcohol based pen-the ink will adhere to the rhinestone). Add colored rhinestones to your stamped image. Adhere your stamped images onto the Pacific Point card stock.

Add Stampin Dimensionals to one side of your of the stamped images and adhere to card.

And there you have it.....

Here is the supply list for this card:

Spring Fling Blog Hop

Hi Stampers!

Welcome to Team Stamp It!'s Spring Blog Hop! If you are already touring the hop, you have reached here from Stamp It member Linda Cullen. If you are just starting, sit back and enjoy as we journey through the blogs of some of our other Team Stamp It! team members.

Spring, makes me think of flowers and butterflies perfect for today's share, We are using the Painted Petals Stamp Set with the coordinating Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. One great thing about this stamp set is that you have a preference of having  your stamp set in wood, clear or photopolymer - I chose photopolymer because it's easier to see the image for better stamping placement.  We did the the "Two Step" Stamping technique for the flowers and embossed the Whisper White background paper with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Here is the complete supply list for today's project:

Hope you enjoyed your time here on our blog and come back often for more inspirations. Next stop we are heading over to Elizabeth Thatcher's blog. Have fun and enjoy!
