September's 3x3 Thank You Note Cards

Good morning Stampers!

We are getting the day going early today---our family is making a traditional Hawaiian Dish called Lau Lau (Seasoned Pork and Beef wrapped in Taro leaf and steamed to perfection).  We are helping my daughter cover her cost of tuition in order for her to attend Nursing Assistant Training School next month. We are so grateful for the many friends and family members who have graciously pitched in to help with our fundraiser. She had tried for grants and scholarship to help cover the cost and unfortunately, even as a single mother of two who works part time, she was unsuccessful in getting any type of assistance. Instead of giving up hope, we are working with her to help cover the cost. I am sharing with you my 3X3 Thank You note cards that we will be handing out along with our Lau Lau orders.

Here is a group shot of the note cards using Stampin' Up!'s New 2013-2015 In Color Card Stock and Designer Series Paper.

Pumpkin Treat Box Tutorial

Welcome Back Crafting Friends!

I've finally finished working on the tutorial for this cute little treat box which features the Scallop Circle Die and Autumn Harvest Die from Stampin' Up!

Click HERE for the list of supplies needed to create the Pumpkin Treat Holder.
Start by creating the box. You will need a piece of Pumpkin Pie  card stock measuring 5 1/2" x 5"

With the 5" edge placed at the top of the score board, score at 2" and at 3". Rotate the card stock so that 5 1/2" edge is now at the top of the scoreboard and score at 1" and 4 1/2".

Using paper snips, cut from the edge of the card stock to the score line.

Turn the card stock over and place sticky strip on the flaps of the card stock as shown in the above photo (I prefer using Sticky Strip because of it's stronger bonding factor).

Assemble your box and adhere the flaps.

Using the Big Shot, cut two Scallop Circles using Stampin' Up!'s Scallop Circle BigZ die.

Emboss each scallop circle using your favorite embossing folder or with the Beautiful Baroque embossing folder from Stampin' Up!

Place the scallop circle on your score board so that the left side of the circle rests against the left edge of the score board. Score and crease the Scallop Circle at 3 1/2". Do this to both Scallop Circles.

Place Sticky Strip on the flap of each circle as shown above.

Adhere the flap of the circle to the bottom of the box. Do this to both sides of your box. Add a little bit of sticky strip to the top edge of your box to adhere your scallop circle.

Your Scallop Circle Treat Holder should now look like this,.

Using your Big Shot, Cut three leaves using Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Harvest BigZ die. After cutting, Emboss the leaves with Stampin' Up!'s Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

Create your handle for your treat holder using ribbon. In this example, I am using a piece of Old Olive Satin Ribbon. Adhere one side of the ribbon to the inside of each scallop circle. I like using Stampin' Up!'s glue dots for the adhesive.

Adhere your leaves to the front of your treat holder using glue dots.

Embellish with Naturals Designer Buttons and Linen Thread and there you have it!

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. Need supplies? Visit my online store HERE. Don't forget this month's Hostess Code 4QGNZHG3 to enter into a drawing for $50 of Stampin' Up! Hostess Benefit from me (Should your product order exceed $150, you will automatically receive Hostess Benefits and need not enter into the drawing)

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Mystery Hostess Code

Hi Stamper!
First off, I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and sympathies during this difficult time for my family and I. It was a beautiful Military farewell for my Step-Dad. Each step of the protocol ran chills down my spine. Mom is adjusting as best as she can. It's so very difficult having her far away and having to leave her, but eventually (hopefully) she will  agree to move in with us.
During my absence, exciting things were happening behind the scenes......Did you notice??? Just before I left to be with Mom, I was contacted that my new WEB design was about to go live. Thanks to Veronica of VK designs who designed it all for me. She was great!!!
Now, Mystery Hostess Code???? What's this??  It's an opportunity for you to win FREE products from me. Every month there will be a NEW Hostess Code. A random winner will be picked each month and will receive $50 of FREE Product of their choice.
