Mother's Day is quickly approaching us. One of my Mother's favorite dishes is this "Old Fashion Glazed Ham" It's very moist, tender and delicious-----and very simple to make!
Half Farmer John Ham
1 20 ounce Can Pineapple Slices, juices reserved
3/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
Preheat the oven as directed on the ham package and follow the instructions for baking the ham. Remove the ham from the oven about 30 minutes before the end of the warming time.
Decoratively place the pineapple slices on top of the ham, holding them down with the whole cloves. Place a cherry in the center of each pineapple ring and secure it with a toothpick.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and just enough of the pineapple juice to make a thick glaze. Spoon the glaze over the ham and continue baking for about another 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, carve and serve.
